Superior introduces the Hyperflex Radius Arms With Drop Boxes Nissan Patrol GQ/GU

Design Objectives & History

Superior Engineering is leading the way again with our latest radius arms design, the Hyperflex Radius Arm.
We figured if one of our Patented Superflex arms were great, then why not run two!, and after some testing we are now proud to offer this combination as the Hyperflex Radius Arms.

These arms don’t just offer extreme levels of flex for the front of your Nissan patrol, the also handle extremely well on road.
We have completed NCOP approved testing up to 110km/h, meaning the Hyperflex Radius Arms are legal* for use on road throughout Australia.

(*Nissan Patrol NON-VSC GU and GQ, Toyota Landcruiser 79 series NON-ESC – other vehicles available soon!)

The difference with our hybrid design arms over the standard Nissan radius arms is the use of a Toyota style rear bush. This change allows increased life from the rear bush when flexing the arms up off road, by allowing the arm to flex down without the binding found in the pin style design.The ultra high-clearence design allows the longer-than-standard radius arm to pivot in a specially position slot in the drop box, providing almost 15% more clearance than other styles available.

The arms and mounting drop boxes are supplied as a straight bolt in design, requiring no cutting. We also supply fitting instructions and all the bushes are pressed into the arms so you don’t have to, and all bolts need for mounting.

With these arms, you will get the flex and drivability you need, and longer life from your bushes. Why not have extra flex as well as good on-road handling?

Installation

The arms come ‘ready to fit’ with direct bolt-in drop boxes, full OE style rubber bushes pressed in and also all the required bolts and fitting instructions. Superior Engineering arms are fitted with genuine OE bushes or our own Specially manufactured bush which is proven to last longer than OE. Superior Engineering is the ONLY manufacturer to offer a warranty on their bush’s when used in lifted applications (conditions apply).

Multidrive MDT Tru Tracker

Today we are checking out the Multi Drive Technology Tru Tracker which is a “Rear Track Correction System” for the V8 70 Series Toyota Landcruiser four wheel drive vehicle.

Design Objectives & History

In 2007 Toyota introduced the V8 diesel engine into its 70 Series model range in Australia.

To accommodate the larger engine, the engine bay was widened and front track width was increased, while the rear remained unchanged.

The result is an OEM track width difference of 95mm.

The narrower track at the rear causes the vehicle to sway unpredictably when travelling on soft surfaces.

This also occurs when the vehicle encounters dry wheel ruts or edged surface changes on sealed roads.

Instability issues are also present when towing or with heavily loaded vehicles with a high centre of gravity.

This presents as a significant safety concern as the vehicle can become unstable and difficult to control under these conditions.

The solution is to fit the MDT Tru Tracker which is a complete rear track width correction system.

The components relocate the entire wheel hub assembly to the correct location and equalise the track widths.

As opposed to illegall offset rims or wheel spacers, the Tru Tracker is fully engineered and ADR compliant.

Rated Towing Point Kit Nissan Navara NP300 D23

This pair of Super Heavy Duty Rated Towing Points has been custom designed by Superior Engineering for the current model NP300 Nissan Navara four wheel drive vehicle.

Design Objectives

The issue around current factory and aftermarket towing points is they can be unsuitable for a lot of of recovery situations, especially if your Nissan Navara is stuck axle deep in snow, bogged down in sand, messed up in mud or caught up on a steep track while out bush.

Superior Engineering has CAD engineered an innovative towing point so you can tow, snatch and recover your NP300 Nissan Navara from any situation with 100% percent confidence.

This rated towing point is manufactured from super duty 10-16mm thick steel plate and is rated to a safe working load of a massive 5,000 Kilograms… and tested to an unbelievable 25,000 Kilograms.

The eye on these towing points are big enough to easily fit and handle a 4,750 Kilogram (4.75T) rated shackle.

This component is proudly made right here in Australia, manufactured from high tensile steel, laser cut to ensure a precise fit, fabricated by qualified professionals for the ultimate in durability and strength, then sand-blasted and finished off in thick powder coat for maximum corrosion resistance.

Superior Engineering has CAD Engineered an innovative bolt-in solution to fix the problem of your coil springs coming loose on your 4WD under down travel when driving offroad.

These drop out cones allow for a larger shock to be used in your 4×4, as the coil springs will be able to drop down approximately 4 inches below the top coil seat, before they will fall out.

Another amazing feature of the “Superior drop out cone” is that they help relocation and seating of the coil when articulating.

Summary

To top it all off, the Superior logo is engraved onto the cone to ensure you’re getting a GENUINE Superior Engineering component instead of a cheap inferior copy from some of the competition out there.

It is recommended to fix the bottom of the coil to the diff with the Superior heavy duty Coil Retainers, which have been designed to integrate perfectly with these drop out cones.
